The gospel passage appointed on the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, which takes place every year on October 4th, is Matthew 11.25-30. Through it, we learn about the ease of discipleship as Jesus says “my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Francis embodied this discipleship through his life and legacy, and we can live out this discipleship too.
