What can we say at a time like this? What energy and ethos will keep us moving toward abundant life for all and give us the courage to make real change so that life begins right here and right now?
One of my seminary professors day after day would remind us in class, “God gives us a language to name what’s going on and what God wants us to be and do about it.”
This week’s sermon leans on our liturgy, scripture, and tradition to name and renounce evil, turn us again to live for God and neighbor, and help us cling to hope.
