Have you ever felt so stressed, overwhelmed, defeated that your eyes could only look a few steps in front of you? You were so weighed down you could no longer look up? In our Gospel passage, Jesus heals a woman who has been afflicted for 18 long years – bent over without being able to stand up straight. Christ helps us to raise our heads, no matter what is weighing us down.
