In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well (Jacob’s well) and presents her with the truth of who she is, who he is, and who God is as he guides her into a deeper relationship with God, self, and neighbor.
Christ comes to us in times of social distancing. Jesus reminds us that God is spirit, and we worship God in spirit and truth, which means we can worship God whenever and wherever we are. While our priorities and our actions change, we know that God’s grace and love continue to guide us into greater love for God and neighbor.
