Pastor Harold Vanicek joins Spirit in the Hills as interim pastor. A Central Texas native from Rosebud, he holds a bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering from UT Austin and a Master of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary. He has served ELCA congregations across Texas since 2009. Harold loves exploring how faith, science, and creation connect, and feels closest to God outdoors among community. An active member of Lutherans Restoring Creation, he’s also an astrophotographer, woodworker, and honeybee beekeeper who’s always up for talking bees.
