Pastor Cecie (pronouns: she/her) is a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the ELCA, and was called to serve as Pastor at Spirit in the Hills in September 2023. She is a native Austinite who is glad to be back in Central Texas, along with her husband, Mike.
Pastor Cecie earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with honors, in addition to a double minor in Philosophy and Anthropology, from Texas A&M University. She received her Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, with the emphases of Biblical Studies and Feminist Theology.
In addition to her work at Spirit in the Hills, Pastor Cecie leads a young adult small group called Gather:Austin and serves on the Board of Directors of Cross Trails Ministry. She enjoys cooking, baking, running, reading, writing, and spending time with her friends and family.
