God is shaping us into a community centered around the radical, inclusive love of God that claims us as God’s own, calls us beloved, and empowers us to be love, to invite others to belong, encourages us to be ourselves, to embrace the fullness of life without any masks or veiled attempts to “fit in”, but knowing that because of God’s grace and the faithfulness of Christ we are already “in,” not because of anything we have done (or not done), and we can’t do (or not do) anything to get kicked out.
God is making us into a community that lives assured of that grace and good news, and lives in such a way that we assure others of that grace and good news. It will require a letting go of some things, and a putting on of others, but we’ve experienced that before, too.
