Wilderness, Exile, Not The End

We are in a season of wilderness, a season of exile these feel full of heavy emotions, and yet, these are times when God who brings life from death, freedom from bondage, deliverance from exile and isolation is near to us. However, knowing the end of the story doesn’t mean we don’t feel the weight of the situation – Jesus cries for Lazarus and all who mourn his loss even though he knows God is about to bring him to new life through Christ. We feel the full weight of our emotions, yet we do not lose hope – we know this isn’t the end of the story, this is our normal for now, but our new normal is yet to come.
